The EES and The British Egyptian Society (www.britishegyptiansociety.org.uk/) will be co-hosting this special lecture and video presentation* by Sandro Vannini who has worked for many years as a photographer in the Egyptian Museum and elsewhere in Egypt. His photographs have been published widely, and his work in Egypt is celebrated in the book resulting from his collaboration with Dr Zahi Hawass, 'A Secret Voyage'. The lecture will be held at Dartmouth House in Mayfair, the headquarters of the English Speaking Union, and drinks and canapes will be served in the courtyard afterwards, when Mr Vannini will also be signing copies of the book 'Inside the Egyptian Museum with Zahi Hawass'.
This special event is the first organised jointly by the EES and BES. The two societies have a great deal in common and we are very much looking forward to collaborating on this event and on other ventures in future. We very much hope you will join us to celebrate this collaboration in the salubrious surrounds of Dartmouth House.
