New hope for Egyptian heritage at risk
As we all know, COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on lives around the globe, and Egyptian heritage will continue to face further challenges as the world recovers. Here at the Egypt Exploration Society, we remain committed to supporting Egyptian heritage through this difficult time by offering funds to projects working tirelessly to safeguard heritage for future generations. These projects may make direct interventions to secure heritage, campaign for protection, or provide essential education and engagement services for local communities. The new Heritage at Risk Grant will be available to those working with both tangible and intangible heritage and will be able to apply on a rolling basis from early 2021.
Your generous contributions, from members and supporters around the world, this year smashed our target of £10,000 which means that we can offer even more funding in 2021. We would like to say a big thank you to all those who have contributed. If you have not yet contributed, but would like to help us make a difference, then please do consider raising that amount even higher so that we can offer even more support.
Once the Heritage at Risk Grant has launched, we will continue to post details on our website about those projects benefiting from your kind support. Thank you again; we really do appreciate your help, it will make a huge difference!
