Supporting early career researchers in 2024
The Egypt Exploration Society is delighted to offer financial support in 2024 to the Current Research in Egyptology conference held at the University of Liverpool from 2nd to 6th September. CRE was last held in the UK in 2015 at the University of Oxford and now returns (in its 25th year!) thanks to a collaborative effort uniting several UK higher education institutions.
Funds from the EES will be used to support international travel and participation of Egyptian scholars at the conference as well as facilitating a session focusing on Egyptian heritage and its reception by contemporary Egyptian artists.
